Please keep my comments confidential. My husband and I became Airbnb hosts 3 years ago after moving from Chicago to Orlando. It has been the best experience for us. In the 3-1/2 years that we have lived here my husband has lost his job twice. I gave up my business in Chicago when I moved here and have been unable to get a new one. The additional Airbnb income has been a huge help to us - it covers our mortgage every month. Additionally, the experience we have enjoyed from Airbnb has been tremendous. We love being hosts and have the fortune to live in an area that gets so many international visitors. We have made so many new friends and have learned so much about other countries and even the US. We've become second parents to traveling international students and legal alien residents. We feel that this "collaborative" and "sharing" economy is a good thing for the world - to help us all see others more intimately and personally. It is creating a world that is a "community". It is creating a "connection". It is not just an economy but a philosophy that is important. Thank you [REDACTED]
