I'm an airbnb owner and the business has been around for a couple years. Not only does providing transient accommodations help make it possible to work and live in Hawaii by helping contribute to a very high mortgage, but I think it contributes to the economy of Hawaii by making a Hawaii vacation affordable to folks who can't afford the cost of resorts. Airbnb puts money back in the hands of the working class. Airbnb has thought it thru by providing the support and insurance to both the guest and the host, to where both can sleep comfortably at night. We need to keep encouraging the small transient accommodations all over the world
