The sharing economy is very important to me and my community. I have done everything from renting out my car on relay rides to renting out my guest bedroom and renting rooms and homes from others. In every instance I have had better more personalized experiences. Renting out my car or guest bedroom allows me to live a better quality of life in my rural area/small town while generating federal taxes and state sales tax. I have even had a couple people stay for month long stays while interning or working in the area. Whether short term or long it allows my guests to live like locals and feel more comfortable with our town, all at a better price than a hotel or car rental. I have always felt comfortable with guests with sites vetting process allowing me to get to know the person before renting to them. Staying in AirBnb's I have always received better accommodation than a hotel or any other option in the area at a better price. Getting us out of the main tourist areas and to local neighborhoods giving us a more intimate environment to enjoy the area. Many times we will get an Air bnb when hosting a family get together in a neutral location which gives us something a restaurant or conference room could never do. The sharing economy brings better quality of life in so many ways. Sincerely, Jacob Harris
