The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
Who wants a random strangers in their home? I do! I have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home near the bay in San Diego and being a family of 2 (husband and wife) we really only need 1 bedroom and guest bedroom. Turned the other into a office. I heard about airbnb and took a chance. It has been 1 1/2 years since. I've made over 15,000, hosted 50+ couples and my life is better for it. I've hosted people from around the world and the get me. It feels like having family visit for a short time. I can't say it is perfect but being accountable for the review also helps with being accountable in life. They are always friendly, respectful of space, and clean. Setting the house rules and expectations helps. I can expand on specific challenges language and womens rights as barriers. To my guests I am an ambassador to San Diego or even to the United States.
