My wife (A medical doctor) and I own a home in Denver and a home in Vail, Colorado. Prior to airBNB we were planning to sell the home due to maintenance and the great expense and often, waste of a second home. However, airBNB has allowed us to generate significant income that allows us to maintain upkeep on the house and to pay a few months of our mortgage. The hotel costs in Vail can be enormous, especially at peak times. Our renting a room or the entire home allows people to stay at our home who might not be able to afford Vail in certain seasons. Besides having our Vail home on airBNB, we also use airBNB when traveling in Europe and on various U.S. trips. AirBNB is a wonderful service and capitalism at work and from our experience, doing quite fine work. Alexandra Theriault, M.D. Ron Guillot, MBA
