Airbnb has been a life changing experience for me. Recently divorced, I was very concerned about how to make ends meet. At one time I was working 3 jobs. Exhausted and unhappy, a friend told me about the program. I decided to try it when my daughter went to college. I turned her room into a lovely guest room and listed with Airbnb. Not only does it help me pay my rent, but I was able to let go of one of the jobs that interfered with my life as a performer....I love how the website helps protect me by verifying that people are who they say they are while also giving me the option to decline a request if I think necessary. Airbnb is not just great for me personally, but great for my community. As a host, I love to tell folks about places, restaurants, and things to do right in my area. It makes them want to come back. And from the visitor side, I love when I travel I can experience the real people and the way they live, as opposed to a commercial/touristy encounter. Airbnb is an excellent way for people to get to know each other, break down fears and stereotypes, and rebuild Humanity. I love it!! By the way, I am a SuperHost!
