The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
Thanks to laws that still reward companies for outsourcing jobs, at the age of 55, I lost my job of 30 years to outsourcing in 2007. Thanks to over-lenient control of banking, there was a collapse that made it impossible for me to find another comparable job. I have been juggling many small jobs at significantly lower pay ever since. One bright spot in all this has been AirBnB which allows me to make some money doing something I love and enjoy and is a factor in helping me afford to stay in my home. I would really appreciate it if "the powers that be" can refrain from creating more people-hostile/corporate friendly regulations to mess up one of the only lifelines left to me to stay afloat.
