Sharing my space on Airbnb helped pay the rising rent in New York City and quite simply just meet ends meet. Airbnb's trust and safety and messaging tools that help hosts get to know the people they choose to share their space with. I'm able to see if the guest is a verified person beforehand and communicate with them via email and phone prior to accepting their reservation. Airbnb is an important option for middle class families in America to earn extra money. I wouldn't be able to pay my full rent if I didn't have it when my roommate left half way through the lease to move back to France. Finally, the guests who stay in Airbnb listings generate sustainable, local economic activity that supports the small businesses in communities across the country.
