The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
I have been an Air BnB host as well as an Air BnB guest for about one and a half years. The income generated from my small business makes it possible for me to pay my rent. Something I could not do as a social worker living in an expensive city like Seattle. I assist my guests with attending local events, eat at local businesses and enjoy a one on one experience on a personal level. In using Air BnB I enjoy the same benefits as I choose to stay with hosts who are there to help me with travel, local interests and family events that give me a sense of deeper cultural inclusion than is possible with any other form of travel. I would be homeless without Air BnB.
