The "Sharing" Economy: Issues Facing Platforms, Participants, and Regulators A Federal Trade Commission Workshop
AirBnB has been a lifesaver. As a single mom trying to make ends meet, I've been able to host and stay on top of my bills. There are still some bills that I am struggling with but I'm not as stressed about them. I have hosted over 9 people and I must say, I've been able to learn so much about other cultures. I just recently hosted an Australian couple and they ended up becoming practically family. My daughter and I are no longer alone. I was on the brink of a depression because it has been hard trying to do so much alone. Because of AirBnB there is hope...I can provide for my Daughter and spend time with her without worrying about getting a second job. Please keep AirBnB around. I need this more than I can express in this text box. The sharing economy is great for keeping Americans out of foreclosure and in their homes. I trust airbnb more than posting on Craigslist. I use my intuition to determine who I host and thus far, I haven't been wrong. All of my guests have taken care of my home like it was theirs.
