I am an AirBnB host. I haven't had word since April 2014. If it weren't for AirBnB, I would have lost my home. When I have guests, it's helps me cover my mortgage. If it weren't for AirBnB, I'd be in much worse shape. Having guests in my home has allowed many people the chance to visit Seattle. Hotel prices are so expensive that the average Joe really can't afford to stay. I have had over 35 guests in the past year and they all have stayed at least 2 nights. They eat out, shop, and take tours. They are putting money into our economy that wouldn't otherwise be here. I recommend local businesses to my guests. Having a home-sharing arrangement as an income source has been a huge benefit to not only me, but also the city I live in. My guests have been retirees who are traveling on a budget, young people such as students, and some people who come for conferences or business meetings. Almost all have commented that they love AirBnB because they can afford to see the United States. Please support and help enrich the sharing economy as it helps so many middle-class Americans pay their mortgages and it allows middle-class Americans to travel and see our great country. thank you.
