The sharing economy is far and above superior to any services offered by any taxi companies or hotels before it. I use Uber every day and it is easily 50 TIMES more safe than any Yellow Cab I had ever ridden in before. It's not even close. If I have any problems, I can easily track down my driver and make a complaint or do whatever I need to do, bottom line is my trips are traceable, unlike any taxi services that I've used before. My opinion is that anybody talking bad about Uber either hasn't ever utilized the service or they haven't ever utilized the dinosaur taxi services, because if they have had substantial experience with both, they would undoubtedly choose Uber every time. If anything, Yellow Cab should be banned. I think that the FTC needs to stay away from ALL BUSINESSES and let the consumers make their own decisions as to what is safe and what is not safe. This is America for christ's sake. We are supposed to embrace freedom. We don't need to be babysat. Y'all have already dry-raped us enough as it is.
