I have been contacted daily on my work phone and on my cell by National Attorney's Collection Service. These calls began on 8/21/14. The recordings vaguely state that they are about to serve a criminal warrant for my arrest for fraud at my place of business. They state that I must call immediately. When I called, I was intimidated and bullied. They attempted to have me "settle over the phone" a debt of which I have no knowledge. They have given me 2 false fax numbers when I asked on two occasions so I could send a letter denying responsibility for this debt. I would like to ignore these calls, but they interfere with my work responsibilities as I take admission calls for a state hospital and take Patient illness on-call also. I reported this company to the MD State Police for harassment on 9/3/14. Officer Langley phoned the company and they said that they work on behalf of the Federal Trade Commission to collect debts. They refused Officer Langley's request for an address, so I could send a registered letter. My complaint is that this company, first and foremost, misrepresents themselves and preys on innocent people with scare and pressure tactics. To tell a person that a criminal warrant is going to be served on him/her at their place of business is obscene. Secondly, this company is using language that enables them to evade questions about harassment and false claims. Thirdly, this company is now harassing family members and obviously has personal information. I have attempted to send letters and/or have them to send me the information on my "case." I have notified the state police. I look to you for resolution on this matter for me and all the other unsuspecting, innocent people who have had their lives invaded and manipulated by this "business" (which is supposedly approved and endorsed by the FTC). Thank you.
