16 CFR Part 312: Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule Proposed Parental Consent Method; AgeCheq Inc., Application for Approval of Parental Consent Method; Project No. P-145410
Agecheq's website seems very spammy. When I logged in, it asked me for $4.99 to verify my account as an adult with a credit card. I haven't played any games with it, and find the built in functionality of the Kindle with FreeTime to be much more value then this. iOS 8 will allow parents to restrict purchasing of content from remote devices and lock down purchases. After reviewing AgeChecq's site and SDK, they do nothing to limit the data collection. They trust that the developer will do it, but the developer can continue to access whatever data or API they want.
