This settlement does not have the consumers' best interest at heart. L'Oréal has sold over nine million bottles and made more than $1 billion in net sales just from the Génifique product line alone. I am concerned that there is no monetary penalties—but I am even more distraught that L’Oréal USA does not have to admit any improper advertising practices based in the settlement. L’Oréal should admit that it made false and unsubstantiated claims, so that customers have the knowledge to make their own decisions. Please set the standard for false advertising and reject this current settlement.
