Since more petroleum fuel is consumed in the production and transportation of methanol than is saved by adding it to gasoline, there is only one explanation: Methanol is being mandated because corporate farm interests are profiting from it. The factories' service manuals for both my Dodge truck and Suzuki motorcycle, as well as my small gas engines ALL forbid use of methanol diluted fuel. Eliminate methanol. Methanol production is diverting farmland from crops other than corn which is driving up food prices also.
