16 CFR Part 306; Automotive Fuel Ratings, Certification and Posting; Project No. R811005
I am concerned about the application of E15 as a motor fuel. I have the usual small combustion engine equipment, string trimmer, blower/vac, lawn mower. While I do not have a major fortune tied up in this equipment, these machines do not come cheap. I do not want to be required to purchase new products if the present equipment is damaged through the use of fuel that is mislabeled or labeled in a confusing manner. I also own and ride a motorcycle and cannot afford the expense of repairing or replacing such. I intend to drive my current pick up truck for at least 1 million miles. The use of E15 would quash that dream. I would ask that more information be collected through further testing of the effects of E15 on small engine equipment and older model four wheeled vehicles.
