CyberCorps Scholarship for Service - 2018 Summer Internship Program (Doctoral Students)

The Federal Trade Commission’s Office of Technology Research & Investigation (OTech) seeks paid interns to work on consumer protection research during the summer of 2018.  OTech—in the FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection, Division of Litigation Technology & Analysis—focuses on issues at the intersection of technology with the FTC’s mission, exploring fraud, privacy, data security, online and mobile advertising, payment systems, malware, and more.

OTech seeks up to three paid doctoral students in computer science or related technical disciplines to conduct research supporting the FTC’s consumer protection mission. Interns will work directly with researchers, investigators, and attorneys on cutting-edge technical issues affecting consumers. The work of OTech’s interns will advance consumer welfare and help guide the development of FTC policy.  This is a temporary position and has a Not-To-Exceed (NTE) date of 09/30/2018.

This position is only open to doctoral candidates. Applications are due by Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
