By a vote of 5-0, the Federal Trade Commission today authorized staff to close its investigation into the acquisition of Avant! Corporation by Synopsys, Inc. Commissioners Sheila Anthony, Mozelle W. The FTC's Bureau of Competition seeks to prevent business practices that restrain competition.
