Health Benefit Claims Challenged by the FTC
On Wednesday, March 6, 2002, the Federal Trade Commission's settlements with a national advertiser and its advertising agency with respect to unsubstantiated claims made for a food product will be announced. Mary K. Engle, Associate Director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection, Advertising Practices Division, will be available to discuss the law enforcement action and to take questions from the press. The press availability will take place in room 481 of the FTC.
