Consent agreements given final approval:

Following a public comment period, the Commission has made final a modified consent agreement with the following: BP Amoco p.l.c., et al. The modification made to the original order pertains to the provision requiring a prior notification with the Commission if the respondents re-acquire certain assets from Phillips Petroleum Co. The modifications affect the form of prior notification required and also limit the prior notification requirement to certain specific categories of re-acquired assets. The Commission vote to finalize the consent order was 5-0. At the time the Commission accepted the consent agreement for public comment, Chairman Robert Pitofsky and Commissioner Mozelle Thompson issued a joint separate statement concurring in part and dissenting in part, and Commissioners Thomas B. Leary, Sheila Anthony and Orson Swindle also issued a separate statement.
