With more than a million annual cyber-attacks, consumers are encouraged to join a live Twitter chat, hosted by the National Credit Union Administration, to learn more on how to protect themselves from these threats.
The Twitter chat, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern, will be moderated by Ken Worthey, NCUA Financial Literacy and Outreach Analyst and staff from Federal Trade Commission. Consumers are encouraged to follow the conversation and contribute using the #NCUAChat hashtag on Twitter. Participants can submit questions beforehand to socialmedia@ncua.gov.
During the chat, the Federal Trade Commission will share resources and preventative tips from their consumer site www.OnGuardOnline.gov. NCUA will share resources on how consumers can protect their finances from MyCreditUnion.gov. The moderators will also be actively answering consumer questions throughout the chat.
