FTC biologics workshop

Tomorrow, the FTC will host a workshop to explore emerging issues affecting competition and consumer access to biologic medicines.

The full-day agenda features a diverse group of biologic medicine experts as speakers and workshop participants. For more details about specific topics we intend to cover, see our prior blog post.

The workshop, which is free and open to the public, begins promptly at 8:30 a.m., and Chairwoman Ramirez will be delivering opening remarks. If you are attending in person, please allow plenty of time to get through security and find a seat. In addition to a live webcast, we will be live-tweeting the event from our @FTC account with the hashtag: #FTCfob.

The workshop will be held at the FTC Conference Center, 601 New Jersey Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001. Please click for directions and information about access to the venue.

And don’t forget: as explained in our Federal Register notice, public comments will be accepted through March 1, 2014.

Note: In the event of inclement weather, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) will make a determination whether to open the federal government on time, with a delay, or to close the government. You can check here for any OPM updates. Unless OPM closes the federal government, the workshop will still begin at 8:30 a.m. If OPM closes the federal government, then we must reschedule the workshop.
