FTC SENDS REFUNDS TO CUSTOMERS WHO PAID FOR DECEPTIVELY MARKETED “AMAZING WEALTH SYSTEM”
The FTC is sending a second round of checks and PayPal payments to people who paid FBA Stores for an “Amazing Wealth System” workshop.
The FTC sued FBA Stores and related defendants, and they agreed to settle. According to the FTC's lawsuit, the defendants falsely claimed their system would enable people to create a profitable business selling products on Amazon. However, the defendants had no affiliation with Amazon.com, and most people who bought the “Amazing Wealth System” lost money.
FBA Stores used many other business names, including: Amazon Wealth Systems, AWS, Insider Online Secrets, Online Auction Learning Center, and Online Seller.
The FTC first sent payments in August 2020, which resulted in more than $8.4 million in refunds. Because there is still money in the fund, the FTC is sending a second round of payments totaling $669,533 to people who accepted their first payment and paid the defendants more than $7,000.
