FTC sends payments to people who lost money in Digital Altitude Scheme

The FTC is sending a second round of payments to more than 7,600 people who lost money as a result of the Digital Altitude business coaching scheme.

According to the FTC, the defendants behind Digital Altitude, LLC convinced people to pay tiered membership fees by promising them substantial income from an online business. The defendants promised that participants would receive individualized business coaching from successful marketers, but in reality, the coaches were merely salespeople selling higher membership levels in the scheme.

The FTC first sent payments in February 2021, which resulted in $3.4 million in refunds.  Because there is still money in the fund, the FTC is sending a second round of payments totaling more than $1.1 million to people who accepted their first payment.

If you get a PayPal payment, you have 30 days to accept the payment.

If you get a check, you have 90 days to cash it.
