FTC sends checks to people who bought Willow Curve
The FTC is sending checks to more than 23,000 people who bought Willow Curve, a device that applied low-level light at the site of pain. These refunds are the result of a Commission order settling charges of deceptive advertising claims against the companies that sold the device, Physicians Technology, LLC and Willow Labs, LLC, and the company owners, Dr. Ronald Shapiro and David Sutton.
According to the FTC, the defendants touted Willow Curve as a “smart” device that is “clinically proven” to relieve pain and reduce inflammation for people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, diabetic neuropathy, nerve damage, torn tendons and any number of other serious conditions, without scientific evidence to support these claims.
If you get a check, please cash it within 90 days.
