The FTC is mailing 227,995 checks totaling more than $6 million to people who purchased health products from a group of companies collectively known as Tarr, Inc.
According to the FTC’s complaint, Tarr, Inc. used unsupported claims, fake magazine and news sites, bogus celebrity endorsements, and phony testimonials to sell more than 40 different products related to weight loss, muscle building, and wrinkle-reduction.
