refund checks for dietary supplements and skincare products
The FTC is mailing a second round of checks to people who purchased health products from a group of companies collectively known as Tarr, Inc. According to the FTC’s complaint, Tarr used unsupported claims, fake magazine and news sites, bogus celebrity endorsements, and phony testimonials to sell more than 40 different products related to weight loss, muscle building, and wrinkle-reduction.
The first round of checks was mailed in February 2019. Because there is still money in the fund, the FTC is mailing an additional 64,610 checks totaling nearly two million dollars to people who cashed their first check.
If you get a check, please cash it within 60 days.
