FTC sends checks to people who paid for student loan debt relief
The FTC is sending full refunds to people who previously filed a report with law enforcement about a student loan debt relief scheme that used the names Aiding Student Relief, Aidnest, and Studora, among others. The FTC says that these companies tricked student loan borrowers into paying illegal upfront fees by falsely promising to reduce or eliminate their student loan debt.
