FTC Returns Money to Victims of Auto Loan Modification Scheme
The FTC is mailing a second round of checks to people who paid an up-front fee to Regency Financial Services, which promised to get them better terms for their auto loans. According to the FTC, the company did not provide the promised services and failed to honor its “money-back guarantee.”
The first round of checks was mailed in June 2017. Because money still remains in the fund, the FTC is mailing an additional 201 checks totaling more than $23,000. People who cash both checks will receive a total refund of $465.
If you get a check, please cash or deposit it within 60 days. If you have questions about your check, call 866-591-7249.
