FTC sends refunds to people who paid to sell their unwanted timeshares

The FTC is mailing a second round of checks to people who paid an upfront fee to Pro Timeshare Resales LLC, J. William Enterprises, and related defendants to re-sell their unwanted timeshares. According to the FTC, the defendants called timeshare owners, and falsely claimed that they had someone ready and willing to buy or rent the timeshare for a specified price, or made false promises to sell the timeshare quickly. The FTC says that the defendants failed to deliver on these promises.

The first round of checks mailed in October 2019. Because there is still money in the fund, the FTC is mailing 5,126 additional checks totaling more than $460,000 to people who cashed their first check.

If you get a check, please cash it within 60 days.
