FTC returns money to people defrauded by Oro Marketing
The FTC is mailing a second round of refund checks to people defrauded by Oro Marketing, Inc., a telemarketing scheme that targeted Spanish-speakers with false promises that they could make money by reselling high-end goods such as Gucci and Ralph Lauren. According to the FTC, the company charged over $400 per package but delivered only shoddy, off-brand products.
The first round of checks mailed in September 2016. Because money still remains in the settlement fund, the FTC is mailing an additional 4,297 checks totaling more than $1 million.
If you get a check, please cash or deposit it within 60 days.
If you have questions about the case, contact the FTC’s refund administrator, Analytics, at 855-719-1931.
