REFUNDS FOR VICTIMS OF A HEALTH INSURANCE SCAM
The FTC is mailing refund checks to people who paid the Independent Association of Businesses (IAB) for comprehensive health insurance that promised to cover virtually every medical procedure and illness. Instead, according to the FTC, people who paid the upfront fees and monthly payments were enrolled in a medical discount plan, which offered limited discounts and reimbursements that covered few, if any, medical expenses.
If you get a check, you have until November 29, 2015, to cash it. If you have questions about the case, you can call the hotline at 1-877-255-2476.
