REFUNDS FOR PEOPLE WHO LOST MONEY TO A MORTGAGE RELIEF SCHEME
The Federal Trade Commission is mailing checks to people who paid large upfront fees but didn't get the mortgage modifications they were promised. The FTC alleged that Jackson, Crowder & Associates and Crowder Law Group falsely promised to modify mortgages and substantially reduce monthly payments, exaggerated the role an attorney would play, and pretended to be affiliated with a government agency.
If you get a check, you have until August 04, 2015, to cash it. If you have questions about the case, you can call the hotline at 1-888-561-9023.
