FTC SENDS REFUND CHECKS TO PEOPLE CHARGED FOR SKINCARE PRODUCTS
The FTC is mailing a second round of checks to people who signed up to get trial offers for skincare products but were enrolled in negative options plans instead. The FTC charged the defendants with advertising deceptive "risk-free trials" for Auravie, Dellure, LéOR Skincare, and Miracle Face Kit branded skincare products.
According to the FTC, the defendants convinced people to provide their credit card information to pay shipping fees, but the defendants then used this credit card information to charge people recurring monthly fees for additional products they didn't order.
The first round of checks mailed in November 2019. Because there is still money in the fund, the FTC is mailing 49,793 additional checks totaling over $612,000.
If you get a check, please cash it within 60 days.
