It might sound corny, but we do seem like one big happy FTC family. We celebrate each others’ successes, both professional and personal, whether it’s a courtroom victory or a colleague’s wedding. We also celebrate our agency’s diversity, whether it’s a group of LGBT employees going to a Nationals’ game for Pride Month, or the president of the NAACP being honored for her many accomplishments at an agency-wide reception.
Also, the personal is just as important as the professional; every boss I’ve had at the agency has understood the importance of a healthy work-life balance. Therefore, it’s not surprising that there are many people here who have been with the agency for decades. Will I be one of those people? You never know.
