I have become passionate about the FTC and its mission.

During my recent job search, I knew I wanted to work for an organization that made a positive impact on people’s lives and where my bilingual skills would be welcomed and useful. After doing some research, I was amazed to see how many aspects of our daily lives are touched by the FTC, and I wanted to be part of that. The FTC hired me and my experience so far has been awesome.

I have become passionate about the FTC and its mission to protect consumers, especially given that fraudsters tend to take advantage of the most vulnerable communities and individuals. I won’t soon forget my conversation with a man who lost over $15,000 of his 401(k) to a scam, in hopes of providing a better life for himself and his family. The stories I’ve heard from consumers break my heart, but at the same time, they motivate me to work even harder for an agency focused on enforcing laws that protect their welfare and livelihood. I am proud to be part of the FTC.
