I'm excited about what the future of my career holds.
As a former Air Force officer, I knew a long time ago that I wanted to serve my country and defend the people within its borders. While I wasn’t certain what my long-term career goals were, I was dedicated to public service. When it was time to leave the military, I decided to become an attorney to continue pursuing that vision. I was blessed to land at the Federal Trade Commission in the Office of General Counsel, where I found exactly what I was looking for.
In addition to my main duty of responding to Freedom of Information Act requests, I have many opportunities to explore other legal avenues. I have been the lead attorney on a court filing, attended conferences, received deposition training, researched emerging problems, and presented my ideas. The FTC has recognized me for my innovation, initiative, and enthusiasm. I look forward to coming to work each day, knowing that I’m furthering the FTC’s mission to protect consumers and the American public.
There’s an Air Force saying, “Bloom where you’re planted.” At the FTC, I’ve had the chance to flourish, and I’m excited about what the future of my career holds.
