Life at the FTC

FTC Ranks #1 in Employee Engagement in 2016

The most important aspect of an organization’s culture is the people who work there. Brilliant, driven professionals from a variety of fields collaborate to achieve the FTC’s mission of protecting consumers and promoting competition.

Pride

Our highly motivated staff understands that every American is affected by the work that we do. We are driven to excellence because we are following a meaningful mission.

Diversity

By creating an inclusive work environment, we foster communication, encourage cross-cultural acceptance, and solicit varied opinions and approaches. We ensure that all of our employees feel valued, involved, supported, and respected. Learn more about the diversity of the FTC.

Work/Life Balance

We want to create a flexible, supportive environment. The FTC realizes that work/life balance is critical to allowing our employees to continue to be creative and productive. For example, many positions may have flexible work schedules and teleworking opportunities.

On-site Daycare

We support our employees who have children with an independently run childcare center on-site at our Headquarters Office. Care is available, as space permits, for children from three-months-old to pre-kindergarten.

June Im

I came to the FTC for the same reason I went to law school—to try to help others. I’ve stayed at the FTC because I get to help consumers in meaningful and challenging ways.

Martha Vera

The consumers I speak to in the course of my work are so thankful that the FTC is responding to their experiences and working hard to stop scams.
