Federal Trade Commission :

This letter is in response to your offer to look at opinions in re to the offering of products by financial institutions and the private information they might have collected on the individuals to whom other services or products might be offered.

The attachments are an example of an offering to sell me auto insurance with the offering coming to me from the same individual that offers financial instruments of savings at the bank; also on the same letter head that has the bank logo on it.  The statement that a credit report was provided by Trans Union to the Insurance Company . Written on Keystone Financial stationary ,there is no reason to doubt that the credit report and financial status of this person was disseminated to those I gave no authorization to.

Is it not your rule that no credit report for insurance purposes be given unless there is an application for insurance.

It is my opinion that you can not allow to be opened the files of individuals banking or business dealings without those individuals losing the control over the privacy each of us hope to keep in our dealings with financial institutions.

Thank You and You can Register my opinion as in opposition to the opening of the records of the individuals that have assets in the banks. It is too easy today to call on the phone and get information concerning an account ,all you need is a number or a name. There is a very lax policy to protect the individual from the unscrupulous now, don't make my banking an open book and an open invitation to the fraud that can occur.
