Proposed July 20 conference--please hold it

To the Commission,

As a new media business attorney who counsels many companies on how to (and how not to) market to children, as well as the parent of an Internet-savvy 4 year old son, I have been following the Commission's rulemaking and solicitation process quite closely. I expect to shortly provide written comments on the recently-announced rules.

I strongly believe that additional discussion, whether to clarify existing rules or to create new ones, would be extremely helpful and likely to produce rules which would work for both parents and industry. I would encourage the FTC to hold its proposed July 20, 1999 conference on children's privacy, and would also very much like to be a participant at the conference. {Jonathan I. Ezor, Esq.}
