Many, if not most, hucksters' MO involves a small investment (ie $25 or less). These people are predator-scammers operating on volume and intruding on decent quiet neighborhoods, preying upon gullible and or honest guileless people. More safeguards, not less, are called for including in this case the "cooling off" option. Please do not raise the dollar limit, it will effectively leave thousands of people with little or no recourse after they realize they have been had. I see at van loads of out of town/out of state sheister youth come through my nice neighborhood on various pretenses. I know my neighbor, and older widow is gullible, for example. Today a fast-talking magazine scammer came through and specifically referred me to her as an endorsement. He was from Alabama (I'm in CA) selling magazines to go to New Zealand. He went from "goofy kid" to pushy aggressive very quickly. I makes me very uncomfortable when these people rove through my neighborhood. Please retain the Cooling-Off Period For Sales as is or strengthen it, do not weaken it! Sincerely, Denise Halbe
