Two Tops markets at opposite ends of the town of Cortland will have no effect on competition. There are plenty of places to shop and with a super walmart opening in October what is the big deal. This market serves the entire population in that area which otherwise would have to travel 7 miles to get to the other grocery stores. And who will guarantee that the store will be sold as a grocery store and not another dollar store. You should take a look at that, maybe Cortland could make the record books for most number of dollar stores and least number of grocery stores. Geesh!! You have got to be kidding me. I should think that you could find a more beneficial means of using taxpayers money than taking away our grocery store. Open up your eyes. Nobody said a word when there were 2 P&C stores in Cortland and only 1 Tops, prior to arrival of Price Chopper
