Changing the labeling of light bulb packages won't change the fact that the new CFL's are worthless, dangerous, too expensive, ugly & should not be forced on the public. Frankly, I can't afford to replace every light in my home with these things & I DON'T WANT TO! Being forced to buy something that I don't like, don't want & can't afford is beyond the pale. Is this America or Cuba?! Currently, I have two lamps with these ugly bulbs that were given to me--the first time I turned them on, I thought the bulbs were out since they didn't come on right away...then I realized that the quality of the lighting was dismal--it doesn't begin to compare with my other incandescent bulbs, which I can AFFORD to buy on my limited income. For congress--or is the reckless EPA--to FORCE citizens to buy these awful bulbs is anti-everything our nation stands for, namely FREEDOM. The horrific effects of EPA mandates continue to add up: millions of lives lost to malaria(majority children) with the banning of DDT, even though it has never been proven to be the danger it was touted to be (having grown up on a farm where it was used regularly with NO HARMFUL effects, I know it doesn't deserve to be banned), skyrocketing power bills, business & livelihoods destroyed to save an insect, vehicles priced so high the payments rival our mortgage, gas regulations that've raised the price of fuel so much that EVERYTHING we use costs more. I could cite reams of evidence of the destructive environmental policies enacted, not by our elected representatives, but by a bureaucracy hell-bent on destroying our freedoms, our jobs, even our lives. Not just my husband & I, but everyone I know hates the idea of being forced to use something they dislike & we're watching diligently to see what candidates are willing to step-up & put the EPA in their rightful place--hopefully in the recycle bin--& put an end to the deliberate march to end capitalism & this country as it was founded to be. STOP THE MANDATE TO REPLACE INCANDESCENT BULBS WITH CFL'S! It's wrong, it's anti-American & we don't want it!
