FTC Seeks Public Comments on Two More Proposed Whole Foods Divestitures, Docket No. 9324, FTC File No. 071 0114

Please allow the original owner of Alfalfa's Market retain their original name. Alfalfa's Market started right here in Boulder and was one of the first natural and organic food store in the nation. Alfalfa's Market first opened at this very location on Broadway and as a longtime Boulder resident it holds a special place in Boulder's history and my heart. We want Alfalfa's Market back. Returning Alfalfa's Market to its local roots will help restore competition in Boulder. Whole Foods already operates three stores within Boulder city limits without any competition. Alfalfa's and Wild Oats were both headquartered in Boulder, a city of approximately 100,000 residents. Nearly 400 individuals lost their jobs when Whole Foods acquired Wild Oats. Alfalfa's Market intends to hire some of the employees who lost their jobs following the Wild Oats sale. Please bring back a part of Boulder history by supporting this cherished local market.
