Dear Mr. Ducore, I am writing you to urge supporting the sale of the old Wild Oats store to Trader Joe's in Portland Maine. I believe this would benefit the community for many reasons. First is that the old Wild Oats building has been empty for a number of years, so filling it would provide taxes to Portland. It would also work for the area very well since having the building be empty has made that area of town look a little sketchy and it would revitalize an area which has had many great building built recently but has this empty cavern still. There are not many stores that could use that space wisely and Trader Joe's could really use the space, since it is pretty large. Also right now in Portland there is really only one health food store, Whole Foods, which in my opinion is overpriced and over hyped. Trader Joe's is a beautiful store with quality products, and it wouldn't hurt to have options in Portland for those who either cannot afford Whole Foods, or is just honestly intimidated by the store. I do hope you support Trader Joe's coming to Portland it would be lovely for a wholesome and greatly loved store to fill in an otherwise vacant and prominently placed store front in Portland. Thank you for your time, Take care, Anna Caraszi -- _________________________________ "Freedom is what you do with what has been done to you."- Unknown
