Talk about misleading the general public are the dermatologist saying that tanning beds cause cancer. Where and when was a study done to confirm such a thing. How can a study be done in the first place. I'm 50 and Ive been tanning all my life and have no problems at all. I'm a skin type 2. I'm a tanning salon owner also and Ive been in the business for 17 years and have customers tanning with me for 17 years and not one of them have skin cancer. Why do all these derms blame everything on a tanning bed. I would suggest that a derm do some real testing if they "believe" that these devices do cause skin cancer. They don't because it would require years of testing. Not only that but how can you determine that a tanning bed caused them to have cancer in the first place since a human has to go in the sun every day of their life. The world health org came out with a report last year which was flawed in including a type 1 skin in with the report to boost percentages. Sad really that doctors want to take a easy mark to blame the tanning device as causing cancer. This analogy can not hold water in the first place since according to the report of the health org that even laying in a tanning bed for one session it will do damage. Ok if this is true then how come if what they say that the skin cancer has gone up in the past years then I can tell you that the tanning business as a whole has been down in the past five years by 30 to 40% so less tanners but the derms say that skin cancer has gone up. So less tanning sessions but higher skin cancer. Doesn't make sense to me that its the tanning bed. Don't need to be a detective to figure that one out.
