As a mother of 2 and a skin cancer survivor, I SUPPORT THE TANNING INDUSTRY. I have never been a tanner until I got into my 30's. My first mole was found when I was pregnant 4 years ago. I come from a line of family with skin cancer. I find no correlation between tanning beds and my skin cancer. I believe in moderation, there are HUGE benefits to tanning. Living in the midwest I find that tanning helps me with depression and my low levels of Vitamin D. My mother who has skin cancer 2, was informed to tan due to the benefits of Vitamin D and her having had breast cancer 3 times. IF WE BAN TANNING, WE MUST BAN SWIMMING POOLS AND VACATIONS! I find this ridiculous and hope the FTC finds other issues to occupy their time, like the chemicals found in SPF lotions.
