1) I strongly support the option for consumers to receive free annual credit reports thru the official site -- AnnualCreditReport.com (or 877-322-8228). 2) I also support that certain blatantly misleading ADS for "free credit reports" be required to include PROMINENT disclosures about the official source to prevent confusion and/or to stop indicating that the advertised credit reports are in fact free. 3)I also think that the WEBSITES of the credit bureaus be required to make the links to the official source MORE PROMINENT AND LESS CONFUSING. Two of the 3 particularly are intentially creating WEB PRESENCE CONFUSION for consumers. They are trying to trick consumers into purchasing a variety of their products by requiring extra website clicks and hoops to jump through. This is blatant disregard for consumer protection and FTC oversite. 4)I would like to see an ANNUAL FREE CREDIT SCORE also required as, particularly on websites, that's where alot of the blatant 'free' advertising hits a confusing wall of 'information', and then starts collcting fees from consumers.
