I obtain my Free report through the FCC mandated regulation on an annual basis. The problem is when anything changes on my report and the Bank or Company denies me credit, the 3 credit reporting agencies want me to pay for the subsequent report. This is unfair. They provide new information to a Bank who then may decline a request for additional credit or new credit. The consumer has no right to then obtain a Free copy of their report. Can a complaint be filed with the FCC? Does the reporting agency need to provide the consumer with a "Free" report? I am sure other consumers face this same problem and the charge should not be allowed since the agency is the one collecting the alleged new data. I believe each time a report is generated that results in a denial of new or additional creidt, the consumer should be entitled to a new report from the agency listed on the letter from the institution denying the credit. Thank you.
