I found out about the call for comments from consumerist.com, which went over the three rule changes being proposed. Please pass all of them! As a consumer it's confusing to wade through advertising on my way to get my free report. I think of myself as an educated and aware consumer, but even I get nervous and concerned I'm about to get charged something when looking over the current site due to all the signups and advertisements for the three big companies. Please require - and enforce! - a landing page on the non-free credit report sites out there. Their sleazy tactics are everywhere - television and Facebook are two major places I see them advertising all the time. Many consumers see the word "Free" and instantly assume it's the right one, lose their money, and accuse the government of messing things up again. Thank you!
